As of today (Sept.12), there is already a Christmas display up at some Costco stores across America — would you be mad if you saw this Christmas display at the store today?
A Facebook post from a Florida resident shows a Costco in Royal Palm Beach with Christmas inflatables proudly on display — a good 45 days before Halloween.
A scroll through the photos makes it clear this wasn’t an accident or a random placement. The inflatables are part of a full display of all things Christmas.
Some commenters aren’t too thrilled about skipping over Halloween and Thanksgiving to jump straight into the Christmas season.
Another Facebook post reads, “August 29th and Costco already has F’g Christmas trees on sale!?! Good Lord!”
One commenter on that post wrote, “So wrong in so many ways. Sigh. It’s still summer until Sept. 21. Gawd.”
This debate pops up every year in America: When is it okay to jump to the next holiday in retail or on the radio?
For retailers, the decision often comes down to whether it’s more profitable to stay focused on the current holiday or start pushing the next one before it even arrives.
Across America, there’s always debate about when radio stations should start switching to all-Christmas music — and it seems to happen earlier every year.
If you’re like me and aren’t bothered by holiday displays going up way too early, you can actually score some great deals — after all, the early bird gets the worm.
What Day of the Week is Christmas in 2025?
This year, December 25 falls on a Thursday. Get ready for one heck of a long weekend.
