Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated after 19 years of marriage, Rolling Stone has confirmed.

TMZ first reported the news of the split, citing sources who said that they have been living apart “since the beginning of summer.”

The couple married in June 2006 and have two children, daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Kidman and Urban celebrated their anniversary this year, with Kidman sharing a photo of the pair together.

Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990-2001.

Urban released his recent album, High, last September, and kicked off a handful of North American tour dates in July, before returning to his home country of Australia for a string of shows in August. Urban launched another North American run this month that will continue through mid-October.

Kidman recently wrapped filming Practical Magic 2, the sequel to the 1998 movie, which is set to arrive on Sept. 18, 2026. Last week, she shared an Instagram clip from the Nashville Film Festival, captioning the post, “So nice to be at home celebrating film.”

In July, Urban cut a radio interview in Australia short after the hosts asked him a question about intimate scenes Kidman films for work. During a “Wall of Truth” segment on Mix 102.3 in Adelaide, host Max Buford referenced Kidman and Zac Efron’s 2024 Netflix rom-com A Family Affair and asked, “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?” Soon after, the show’s producer said the country singer and his team had “disconnected from Zoom” because “they didn’t want us to ask that question.”
