Post Malone is at the center of a new lawsuit filed by teacher and part-time limousine drive Larry Deuel.
According to TMZ, Deuel is suing Malone and rapper Tyla Yaweh, alleging that they never paid him for his appearance in the music video for their 2020 duet “Tommy Lee.”
The outlet also reports that he’s seeking a staggering sum in his lawsuit: At least $2.5 million in principle damages and $7.5 million in punitive damages.
Complex also reported details about the lawsuit, which was filed on Friday (Oct. 17) in Utah.
Documents claim that Malone and Yaweh contracted Deuel to drive them Malone’s ranch — the site of the music video shoot — via his employer. Once he was there, Deuel claimed that the artists asked him to partake in the video.

He is featured in multiple shots of the video, unrolling a carpet and opening a door at various points throughout the clip.
Deuel claims that Malone and Yaweh said he would be “taken care of” for his time, which he took to mean that he would be paid. But he says he was never financially compensated.
Lawsuit documents claim that the agreement between the three men was verbal, and that Deuel never signed a release granting the rights to use his name, likeness or image. It also states that he’s been trying to resolve the dispute outside of court for the past five years.
He’s suing both artists for fraudulent inducement, misappropriation of name and likeness, breach of contract, unjust enrichment and more.
Post Malone’s Legal Battles
Malone has been embroiled in another legal dispute this summer, as he and his ex-fiancée Hee Sung “Jamie” Park went to court over custody of their young daughter.
Park originally sought full custody in California, but dismissed her filing in July.
They’re continuing their custody battle in Utah. The documents that Malone has filed in that state are sealed, so it’s unclear what kind of custody arrangement he’s asking for.
