After spending their 2025 reunion headlining a series of stadium shows, Cross Canadian Ragweed will kick off 2026 as a festival band. Rolling Stone has confirmed that the Red Dirt outfit will join the lineup at Mile 0 Fest, scheduled from Jan. 27 through 31 in Key West, Florida.
Before Ragweed officially ended a 15-year hiatus with four sold-out shows last April at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the group played a teaser set at the 2025 installment of Mile 0. Cody Canada, the group’s frontman, tells Rolling Stone that the frenzy that followed led the band to push for an official slot in January’s festival.
“Last year at Mile 0 was our first time together on stage in 16 years,” Canada says. “With the fantastic year we had in ’25, it seemed like we should do it again. Mile 0 kind of became our good luck charm, and we’re looking forward to seeing old friends.”
Ragweed will join a lineup that already features top-line artists Stephen Wilson Jr., Randy Rogers Band, Shane Smith and the Saints, and Kaitlin Butts. The Departed — the three-piece that Canada has fronted since Ragweed’s 2010 break — will also feature on the festival’s main stage, as it has each of the previous eight installments.
The centerpiece of Mile 0 is the 3,500-capacity Coffee Butler Amphitheater in Key West, and the festival has a history of bringing high-profile artists along. Since its start in 2018, Mile 0 headliners have included Tyler Childers, Whiskey Myers, the Turnpike Troubadours, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, and Cody Jinks.
Festival director Kyle Carter is a native Oklahoman and childhood friend of Cody Canada. Carter tells Rolling Stone the band approached him about joining the upcoming lineup in late September and have spent the time since working through booking and logistics.
“After that long of pent-up demand, we got to see what this band’s real value is last year,” Carter says. “These are the types of shows that are in stadiums, so the idea that we’re going to get them on a two-by-four mile island at the southernmost point in the United States, at a show that only really handles 3,500 people or so, it’s pretty spectacular. Our fans know that we try to do something really special each year, and I think this will be the most special one we’ve pulled off.”
Ragweed has already announced two more Boys From Oklahoma concerts, co-headlined by the Turnpike Troubadours, in 2026: An April return to Stillwater and an August showcase at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s towering Memorial Stadium. April’s lineup also includes Wyatt Flores, Shane Smith and the Saints, and the Great Divide. The Nebraska show will feature Cody Jinks, Flatland Cavalry, and American Aquarium.
Carter says that he expects to finalize and release Mile 0’s daily lineup and schedule by mid-November.
