The singer performed mashups of “Sparks Fly” and “Message in a Bottle” and “You’re Losing Me” with “How Did It End”
Taylor Swift got emotional as she celebrated her final Eras Tour stop in Toronto on Saturday, her sixth at Rogers Centre. In a video clip posted by a fan on TikTok, she addressed the crowd after receiving a standing ovation for “Champagne Problems.”
“Toronto, we’re at the very end of this tour so you doing that, you have no idea how much it means to me and to my…” she then stopped to wipe away tears, before the audience cheered her to continue on. “And to the band and to my crew, and everybody who’s put so much into this, into this tour, into their… I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore,” she added, overcome with emotion.
“I’m just having a bit of a moment. Sorry,” she said. “It’s not even the last show!” she said smiling through the tears.
She continued: “My band, my crew, all my fellow performers, we have put so much of our lives into this. And you’ve put so much of your lives into being with us tonight and to giving us that moment that we will never forget.”
“We’ve loved our time in Toronto, it’s been so amazing. I love you guys. Thanks so much for that,” she concluded.
During her show on Saturday, she delivered mashups of “Sparks Fly” and “Message in a Bottle” on acoustic guitar as well as a piano-led mix of “You’re Losing Me” and “How Did It End” for the surprise songs section of the show. During last weekend’s surprise segment in Toronto, she brought out opener Gracie Abrams to perform “Us.”
Swift wraps up her massive Eras Tour, which launched in March 2023, with her final run of shows in Vancouver on Dec. 6, 7, and 8.
