Elle and Dakota Fanning are the latest “Juno girls” to be arrested by pop star Sabrina Carpenter.
During Carpenter’s second night of her Los Angeles run for her Short ‘N Sweet Tour, the singer spotted the lingerie-clad sisters in the crowd and declared, “You guys, I have to arrest you. You’re too beautiful. Shit!”
As the fans at Crypto.com Arena cheered, Carpenter observed, “It’s like, one of you is cute, but two though, I mean, damn, I’ve never had sisters. There’s a first time for everything.” She added, “Are you guys OK with jail?” After the actresses enthusiastically nodded, the star then handed them two sets of fluffy pink handcuffs before continuing on with the show.
The pair were the latest arrests Carpenter has made during her flirty performance of “Juno,” when she plucks someone from the crowd — sometimes a fan, other times a celebrity — to be apprehended. Celebrity arrests have included the likes of Nicole Kidman, Ayo Edebiri, Anne Hathaway, Marcello Hernandez, Baby Spice, and Salma Hayek.
The artist tends to tailor her arrests for Hollywood stars, dropping in cheeky references to their past work. When cuffing Kidman in Nashville earlier this month, Carpenter told the crowd, “We come to this arena for magic, right?” — nodding to Kidman’s famous AMC ad, and maybe also Practical Magic. “Oh, my goodness, speaking of magic. I expected to find love, but not my soulmate. What is your name?” The singer then referenced Kidman’s 2024 Babygirl. “You’re so — oh, babygirl, I don’t know what to do!”
