The singer and actress has been nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, Motion Picture at the 2026 Golden Globes for her role as Glinda in Wicked: For Good
Ariana Grande is sending Glinda off with another gift: her second consecutive nomination for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, Motion Picture at the Golden Globes. The singer and actress has now been nominated in the role for both Wicked and Wicked: For Good.
“It is definitely just as exciting [as last year’s nomination] and kind of blindsiding. You don’t expect something like this, let alone [for it] to happen twice for the same role,” Grande told The Hollywood Reporter about the 2026 Golden Globes nod. “So I’m just deeply honored. I’m just really moved by it.”
This year, Grande is nominated alongside Emily Blunt for The Smashing Machine, Elle Fanning and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas for Sentimental Value, Amy Madigan for Weapons, and Teyana Taylor for One Battle After Another.
“Thank you so much @goldenglobes for this tremendous honor and for recognizing this performance a second time,” Grande wrote on her Instagram Story this morning. “I’m so moved and grateful, there are truly no words.”
She also congratulated her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo, who has earned a second consecutive nomination for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. The category also highlights Rose Byrne in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Kate Hudson in Song Sung Blue, Chase Infiniti in One Battle After Another, Amanda Seyfried in The Testament of Ann Lee, and Emma Stone in Bugonia.
“It’s an honor to be nominated once again for this film. It has been a beautiful journey to play this character, and this is the cherry on top,” Erivo wrote on Instagram. “This entire journey could never have been possible without the wonderful leadership of my brother and glorious director @jonmchu and producer extraordinaire everyone could only wish for, Marc Platt. Congratulations to my sweet sister @arianagrande!!!”
