Raye Announces New Album ‘This Music May Contain Hope’

The singer’s sophomore LP arrives March 27

Raye has announced that her sophomore album, This Music May Contain Hope, will land on March 27.

News of the aspirational offering arrived alongside a heartfelt message from the Grammy-nominated artist. “Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world,” said Raye. “I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”

The album will be set across four “seasons,” according to a press release, with each side of the vinyl representing a different chapter while taking listeners on a journey that begins with “darkness and ends with light.”

Trending Stories

Last year, Raye delayed her second album after her car, containing her prized songwriting books, was stolen. Back in October, she revealed that the car had been found — and the songbooks along with it. “It was a roller-coaster journey, but what I didn’t tell everyone is the police called me maybe two or three months ago, and they were like, ‘We found your car,’” Raye told EE Official Big Top 40 From Global at the time. “Not only did I get it back, not one thing had been taken out of the car. All my songwriting books were there, untouched.”

Tonight, the star is launching her 51-date arena tour, the aptly titled, This Tour May Contain New Music, and will travel to Europe, the U.K., and the United States for the international run. Rolling Stone named her trek one of the most anticipated tours of 2026, with music writer Larisha Paul noting, “The British songstress has an affinity for big band music and grand dramatic displays both onstage and in the studio, as evidenced by ‘Where Is My Husband?’ and ‘Genesis.’ A master entertainer and a true musician, Raye knows how to put on a show.”
