Lee Brice says his decision to play the alternative halftime show has nothing to do with who’s scheduled to play the official Super Bowl halftime show.
The “Rumor” singer also shared a few more details about what the Turning Point USA halftime show may look like.
- Bad Bunny is the halftime performer for Super Bowl LV.
- Criticism of the NFL’s decision led a group of largely conservative football fans to call for someone else.
- The All-American Halftime Show will also feature Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert and Gabby Barrett.

New TPUSA All-American Halftime Show Details:
During a conversation with Fox News, Brice said that he expects to get seven minutes for his performance.
Kid Rock will get about eight, leaving a similar amount of time for Gilbert and Barrett if this ends up being a 30-minute performance (halftime at the Super Bowl is always extended).
Beyond that, there are still many unknowns, including where the show will originate from and if it will be live. It’s also not clear if the four artists will be in the same venue.
Brice did indicate that his portion is still being planned, so if it ends up being pre-recorded, he hasn’t recorded it yet.
Lee Brice’s Decision to Join the All-American Halftime Show
Brice says he’s not familiar with Bad Bunny, so his decision to play this show was made separate from any opinion of him. He also didn’t indicate he was upset about Bad Bunny being chosen, as others have done.
“I heard he won a bunch of Grammys and is a great artist or whatever,” he starts when asked why he’s performing. “I didn’t get asked to play the other (halftime show) but I did get asked to do this and be a part of something that I believe in.”
The day will be a lot of fun, he says. It also means something.
“(Turning Point USA founder) Charlie Kirk wanted everybody to have a microphone. It’s a celebration of what he believed in,” Brice shares. “I’m just proud.”
