Miley Cyrus Reveals ‘Younger You’ Video From Hannah Montana Special

“I know your story isn’t done, but do you love who you’ve become?” the star sings on the soaring track

Miley Cyrus has gifted fans with a new Hannah Montana song, titled “Younger You.” The star previewed the track during her deeply nostalgic Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special which aired on Disney+ earlier this week.

In an Instagram post sharing the track on Thursday, Cyrus wrote, “Younger me has loved celebrating 20 years of Hannah Montana with you. This song is yours as a thank you for the life we’ve grown through together. I love you always.” The video features clips of Cyrus driving through Hollywood and scenes from the anniversary event, while flashing back to moments from the 2009 Hannah Montana Movie. As the video cuts back and forth between then and now, Cyrus is seen carrying her iconic pink makeup case from the film as she delivers the chorus, “Somewhere along the way, we lost touch/We used to be so happy just because/I know you had to go eventually/But don’t forget about me.”

As the song ends, both younger and older Cyrus walk away from the camera while she sings the poignant line: “I know your story isn’t done, but do you love who you’ve become?”

The video has sent Hannah Montana fans on a sentimental trip down memory lane, with one of the top YouTube comments declaring: “We didn’t just watch her grow up we grew up with her This feels like a hug from our childhood.” In another post, one user writes, “This wrecked me in the most beautiful way.” Comments on Cyrus’ Instagram post were equally heartfelt. Fan account @malibucyrus posted, “this healed something in me thank you for making our childhood so special.”
