Karol G to Join ‘Call Her Daddy’ for Special Two-Part Episode


The Colombian superstar will join Alex Cooper for an interview and take viewers behind-the-scenes of her Coachella performance

Call her papasito… Karol G is joining Alex Cooper for a special two-part episode of Call Her Daddy. The Colombian superstar’s appearance on the show comes as she is set to headline Coachella on Sunday and make history as the first Latina to do so.

In part one, Karol will sit down with Cooper for the classic, intimate style interview that’s become the podcast’s signature. It will mark the singer’s first-ever appearance on the Call Her Daddy as she opens up about her journey, headlining Coachella, representing the Latino community, and her dating life. The second part will follow the singer behind the scenes as she prepares to take the Coachella main stage for her historic performance.

The first part of Karol’s episode will arrive on YouTube on Saturday, April 11, at 12 p.m. PST and the second will air next Saturday, April 18, at 12 p.m. PST. As soon as each episode ends, viewers will be automatically redirected to the official Coachella livestream to catch the night’s headlining performances.

Cooper teased the appearance with a social media post on Friday. In the clip, the host shared a behind the scenes look at the making of her new teaser photo, which features Cooper laying on bangers in homage to Karol’s Tropicoqueta album cover art.

The special episode comes as Unwell, the production studio behind Call Her Daddy, is partnering with YouTube at Coachella for exclusive content. In addition to Karol G’s appearance on the podcast, content creators from Unwell like Owen Thiele, Madeline Argy, and Hallie Batchelder will conduct interviewers with festival goers and musicians backstage at the festival.
