Hannah Harper’s ‘String Cheese’ Tour Comes Full Circle: EXCLUSIVE

What started as a heartfelt song about the realities of motherhood has come full circle for American Idol winner Hannah Harper.

Fresh off winning American Idol 2026, Harper announced on Instagram that Sargento will serve as the exclusive national cheese sponsor of her first nationwide String Cheese Tour. This partnership carries special meaning after the company became one of the first brands to support her following her now-viral audition.

For Harper, the collaboration is about much more than putting a logo on a tour bus.

“It is honestly hard to put into words,” Harper tells Taste of Country exclusively. “When I first sang my song ‘String Cheese’ on American Idol, I was just putting my unfiltered experience as a mom out there. I didn’t know how people would react, but Sargento was actually one of the very first brands to reach out and show their support.”

She recalled receiving a handwritten note and a care package from the company — a gesture she says meant the world during the early days of her Idol journey.

To go from that initial, incredibly sweet gesture when I was just starting my Idol journey, to now being the winner, headlining my own national tour, and having Sargento right there beside me as a sponsor… it is the ultimate full-circle moment.

“Having them custom wrap our tour bus and keep us fueled on the road is just surreal,” Harper states.

She adds, “They believed in me early on, and having them sponsor the ‘String Cheese Tour’ makes it feel like we’re bringing this whole journey back to the fans who made it happen.”

It All Started With ‘String Cheese’

Harper’s original song “String Cheese” became one of the defining moments of the 2026 American Idol season.

The deeply personal song about motherhood and the pressure of trying to do it all left judge Carrie Underwood in tears and quickly resonated with millions of viewers.

Looking back, Harper still can’t believe one song changed the course of her life.

“Never in a million years!” she says when asked if she ever imagined string cheese would change her life.

If you had told me that writing a song about the messy and chaotic moments of motherhood titled ‘String Cheese’ would lead to winning American Idol and headlining a tour, I would have thought you were crazy.

More Than Just a Partnership

Harper says the collaboration feels especially fitting because both she and Sargento share the same family-first values.

I think that’s why this partnership with Sargento works so well. They are a family-owned company, so those family values are at the heart of everything they do, and it shows in their products. For me, string cheese is the ultimate, real-life snack that gets you through those busy days. It represents the everyday moments of being a parent.

For Harper, that’s what makes the partnership feel so meaningful. A song inspired by the everyday chaos of motherhood not only launched her career, but has now come full circle as she heads out on her first national tour with one of the first companies that believed in her, riding along for the journey.
