See New Trailer for Netflix’s ‘Avicii

Netflix will stream film about late DJ-producer Tim Bergling, as well as release video of his final performance, on Dec. 31

The late Avicii tells his life story in his own words in Avicii – I’m Tim, a documentary about the DJ-producer born Tim Bergling that arrives on Netflix on Dec. 31.

The streaming service shared the new trailer for the film Tuesday, with the documentary providing an in-depth look at how a shy kid from Sweden became a prodigious musical talent and “one of the defining artists of his generation,” with Bergling himself serving as narrator via archival materials.

Avicii – I’m Tim also features interviews with collaborators like Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Aloe Blacc.

“Through unique home movies and a huge private archive, we get to follow Tim on a winding journey through life — from the very first breath at the maternity ward in Stockholm in 1989 to the tragic end in Oman in 2018,” Netflix said of the 95-minute documentary in a synopsis.

“This is a film where Tim himself is the narrator and he shares his inner self in a way we haven’t heard before. Through himself and everyone close to him — family, artist colleagues and best friends — we get to know Tim — the boy behind Avicii — for the first time.”

Additionally, on Dec. 31, Netflix will also premiere Avicii – My Last Show, a 30-minute concert film that captures Bergling’s final performance from Ibiza’s Ushuaïa.
