Kim Kardashian Unveils Travis Barker-Produced Take on ‘Santa Baby’

A music video for the cover features a cameo from Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin

Kim Kardashian has boarded the holiday music train with a breathy cover of “Santa Baby.” The rendition of the classic Christmas tune was produced by Travis Barker and is accompanied by a lo-fi music video directed by Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis.

The clip, filmed to look like a classic VHS home video and set at a chaotically bizarre Christmas party, features a cameo from Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin. Imagine David Lynch directing a Skims commercial.

Kardashian has made a foray into music previously. She released her debut single, “Jam (Turn It Up),” in 2011. A few years later, while appearing on “Watch What Happens Live,” she admitted she said the song was her one big regret. “I don’t like it when people kind of dabble into things they shouldn’t be,” she said on the talk show. “And that I don’t think I should have. Like, what gave me the right to think I could be a singer? Like, I don’t have a good voice.”

More recently, Kardashian has been pursuing her acting career. She appeared in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: Delicate, which premiered in two parts in 2023 and 2024. She’s also executive producing and starring in Murphy’s forthcoming series All’s Fair. Her reality show The Kardashians was renewed for a sixth and seventh season at Hulu over the summer.

Barker, who is married to Kourtney Kardashian, has produced music for artists like Machine Gun Kelly and Avril Lavigne in recent years. In 2022, his band Blink-182 announced that their original lineup with Tom DeLonge would reunite. The group released a new LP, One More Time…, last year.
