Double Take! 13 Country Artists Dressed Up as Each Other

They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, and there’s a lot of love and flattery in the country music family.

It’s one thing when country music fans dress up as their favorite singers — that’s to be expected, especially around Halloween. However, it’s a whole different ball game when an artist dons the likeness of one of their colleagues!

And these costumes don’t just come out for the spooky holiday.

Kelsea Ballerini Dresses Up Like Shania Twain for Tribute Performance

In 2022, Kelsea Ballerini took on one of Shania Twain‘s most iconic looks and songs at ACM Honors. Not only did the “Dibs” singer belt out the icon’s 1997 hit, “Man! I Feel Like a Woman,” she also wore Twain’s signature deconstructed tuxedo and top hat.

Carrie Underwood Puts on Dolly Parton Garb for TV Special

Not long after winning Season 4 of American Idol, Carrie Underwood hosted her own holiday special in 2009. The Carrie Underwood: All Star Holiday Special featured performances and appearances from several celebrities such as Kristin Chenoweth, Brad Paisley and, you guessed it, Dolly Parton.

During the special, fans were able to see Underwood’s more playful side. After Parton sang “Here You Come Again,” the Idol winner came out dressed up as the country icon.

“You look fantastic!” Parton remarked when she saw her doppleganger. “Are you doing something different with your hair?”

“Well, actually I’m doing something different with your hair,” Underwood confessed from underneath a giant blonde wig — watch below. “See I’ve always wondered what it would feel like to be Dolly Parton. So I kind of borrowed some of your stuff. I hope you don’t mind.”
