If you have small kids, there is a better than zero chance you have had The Wiggles on your TV, iPad or any screen your kids enjoy. Maybe their new “country” song won’t have you pulling out your hair.
It’s called Big Red Ute, which is short for sport utility vehicle. The entire song highlights the outstanding features of the Big Red Ute that they are driving around in during the music video.
Anthony Wiggle, you may know him better as the Blue Wiggle, had this to say on the group’s YouTube channel about the song, “’Big Red Ute’ is a playful nod to our original ‘Big Red Car’ but with a country rock twist that’s fun for children and parents alike.”
He went on to explain the reason behind the kids’ song.
“There’s something truly special about taking everyday things like electric windows, cup holders, and the sound of the engine, and turning them into exciting adventures for children,” he says. “Young minds have a beautiful way of being fascinated by the simplest things. A child might hear the ‘vroom’ of an engine or see a window rolling up, and suddenly, it’s magic. ‘Big Red Ute’ is all about celebrating those little wonders that children notice – things we adults sometimes take for granted.”
I don’t want to hear anyone else complain about country music lyrics after hearing “Vroom! Vroom! Toot! You Buute!”
Whether you love the tune or not, if you have little kids chances are you will be hearing it soon. Over and over and over and…you get the picture.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to their music, this new country endeavor is sure to get everyone “wiggling” to a brand-new beat.
