Tennessee Crowd Goes Nuts For Dancing Jumbotron Kid — Watch

In the middle of one of SEC’s most intense rivalries between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Florida Gators on Saturday (Oct. 12), something unexpected happened that stole the spotlight away from the gridiron.

No, it wasn’t a last-second touchdown or a game-changing play. It was a little kid on the Jumbotron who captured the hearts of the crowd at Knoxville, Tenn.’s Neyland Stadium.

That is 13 year old Cayson Cagle, and as you can see, he is one heck of a dancer. He also helped keep morale up in the crowd. During their Saturday game, the Volunteers weren’t much to look at on the field. The eighth-ranked team didn’t even score their first point until there were less than three minutes left in the third quarter.

But Cayson had the crowd jumping during dead-ball moments, and he quickly became a fan favorite, with Vols fans in the stands clamoring to get him more jumbotron time.

It wasn’t just the crowd that perked up watching him. As Cayson continued to do his dance numbers in the stands, the Volunteers started to wake up on the field. Tennessee ended up overcoming a 10-0 hole and getting a 23-17 win over the Gators to move to 5-1 on the season.

But the interest in Cayson was far from over. He is now being called upon to be at every Tennessee game for the rest of the season, and even the Volunteers Football twitter account got in on the action.

He is even doing media appearances where he is taking some credit for the comeback win.

No word on whether or not Cayson will be in the stands for this week’s ‘Third Saturday in October’ as the Alabama Crimson Tide roll into Knoxville for one of the biggest games of the season. If he is, chances are he will be showing off his moves once again.
