Second-Largest Retailer in America Ups Its Minimum Wage to $22

In a move to retain employees in an ever-changing work environment, Amazon is stepping up to offer its employees something spectacular.

Amazon is the second largest retailer in America, with an annual revenue over $350 billion. They have upped their pay package to hourly employees to $29 an hour. That breaks down to $22 in cash and $7 in benefits.

Amazon offers their employees insurance benefits from the first day on the job.

Not only that, but starting in 2025, all Amazon employees will also get free Amazon Prime.

Amazon says, “Our front-line team members across our operations are a big part in bringing the magic of Prime to customers, and starting early next year, Prime will become part of their benefits package. Hourly team members in the U.S. will get Prime at no additional cost for as long as they are a part of the Amazon team.”

The pay increases for Amazon hourly employees began back in 2018, when they offered employees a starting pay of $15 per hour — nearly double the federal minimum wage.

You may have also seen some Amazon TV commercials that are trying to recruit you for a position.

Amazon makes no secret that their employees are the driving force behind their success, and they try to keep a well-stocked roster of people who want to work.

Amazon also offers employees pre-paid college tuition. They say, “We think it’s better to pre-pay, so our team doesn’t have to incur out of pocket costs and then get reimbursed.”

The high-paying jobs are out there, if you are in need and ready to work.
