Birds of a feather always stick together. This applies to the friendship that Kelsea Ballerini has developed with fellow country star Carly Pearce.
Two of country music’s powerhouse female artists are actually better friends that we even knew.
In an exclusive interview with Taste of Country Nights, the “Dibs” hitmaker peeled back the curtain a little bit, giving us a peek into her friendship with the “I Hope You’re Happy Now” singer.
“I think the artist that I truly have like the closest friendship with is Carly. Carly and I are really intentional about it,” Ballerini says.
In fact, even though they’re both extremely busy in their careers, they spend a lot of their downtime together.
“We’ll go on walks, or we’ll go to our houses and just make dinner, and have wine and play each other songs and stuff,” she adds.
“I think her and I are probably the closest,” Ballerini says of Pearce.
In the music business, it is kind of dog-eat-dog, so the fact that these two fierce chart-toppers are hanging out a lot together really goes to show you how real and raw country music is behind the scenes.
Ballerini’s current country single is “Cowboys Cry Too,” which is on her new album, Sorry Mom, which drops on October 25.
