Dan + Shay’s Christmas Album Is Finally Coming — And SOON!

Earlier this week, Dan + Shay teased a big project that’s been in the works for a decade. Now, the big reveal is here, and it was worth the wait.

The country duo’s first full Christmas album is on its way, but that’s not all: They’re planning to make it a double album.

Called It’s Officially Christmas, the 21-song project will feature old holiday favorites, original songs and some releases that Dan + Shay fans have already heard before.

“This project has been a decade in the making, and we are so proud of every single note,” the bandmates write on Instagram in announcing their holiday album. “We truly leaned into our love for the holiday season and think we found some magic in these songs.”

“Our hope is that you are able to enjoy + share that same magic with your loved ones for years to come,” they continue. “As always, thank you for continuing to believe in us and allowing us to live our dream. We’re grateful for you, and we’re grateful for Christmas!”

Their announcement post also includes a full tracklist for It’s Officially Christmas. The first disc is full of classics, like “Let it Snow” and “Silent Night,” while the second features more originals and new songs.

Dan + Shay have long been expressing interest in recording a full Christmas album, and they’ve dropped a sprinkling of holiday songs and singles over the past few years, many of which are included on It’s Officially Christmas. Those include “Take Me Home for Christmas,” “Holiday Party” and the title track.

They’ve been waiting 10 years to release a project like this one, and now that the news is out, they’re not waiting a day longer. It’s Officially Christmas: The Double Album drops at midnight on Thursday night (Oct. 17), and it’s available to pre-save and preorder now, with options to purchase vinyl or CD formats.
