Shakira Details New North American Tour Dates, Following Demand

Following increased demand for Shakira‘s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World tour, the singer has announced new tour dates for the North American leg. Her trek will now begin May 13 in Charlotte followed by stops in Toronto, Boston, Miami, and Las Vegas, the artist announced Monday. Shakira will also perform in Washington, D.C., May 26, as the headliner of WorldPride DC, and end her North American run in San Francisco on June 30.

Last week, Shakira wrote on social media that her 2024 North American tour, previously expected to kick off in the U.S. next month, would move to the following year so it could be upgraded from arena shows to stadiums. The North American dates will follow her Latin American leg, which begins in Rio de Janeiro Feb. 11.

“I’m so excited to share my best show yet with you,” Shakira wrote in an Instagram story post Monday. “Thank you all for supporting and inspiring me to keep pushing myself. I can’t wait to celebrate with you in May!”

Shakira last went on tour in 2018, in celebration of her album El Dorado. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she emphasized the scale of her forthcoming tour, with each tour show clocking in about two hours, compared to her previous 90-minute performances.

“I think this is going to be the biggest in my career so far, the most extensive, with the most range. It’s also going to be the longest,” she told Rolling Stone.

Last month, Shakira released “Soltera” with a music video featuring Anitta, Winnie Harlow, Lele Pons, and Danna. Presale tickets are available Wednesday at noon local time, and general sale tickets will be available Oct. 25 at noon local time.
