Taylor Swift Declares Sabrina Carpenter ‘Pop Princess of Our Dreams’

The praise come days after the former Eras Tour opener joined Swift on stage during her stop in New Orleans

Taylor Swift has nothing but praise for her former Eras Tour opener Sabrina Carpenter.

Days after bringing out Carpenter as a surprise guest during her show in New Orleans over the weekend, Swift took to Instagram to thank the “Nonsense” singer, calling her “as real as they come.”

“One of the things I’ll always remember from this weekend was getting to surprise the crowd with a performance by the pop princess of our dreams: Sabrina Carpenter,” Swift wrote, particularly commending her for making the time despite her own ongoing Short n’ Sweet concerts.

“Side note: She had one day off from her very exhaustive tour schedule,” Swift wrote. “Her show is physically full on and spectacular, and she could’ve been resting in her time off. One of the reasons I respect her so much is that she does things like this, goes out of her way to give fans a surprise moment they didn’t expect. She’s as real as they come and I’m so thankful she did that for us.”

Carpenter has enjoyed a stratospheric rise this year, in part because of the wide exposure she garnered as an Eras Tour opener at the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024, helping build her eventual breakout moment when she dropped “Espresso” in April. She’s become a star in her own right, with Short n’ Sweet spending four non-consecutive weeks atop the charts since its release in August.

Over a year and a half since the Eras Tour launched, Swift is finally nearing the end of her record-breaking trek, with just three more dates left in the United States as she heads to Indianapolis this weekend. Swift will play six dates in Toronto after that, and finish the tour with three shows in Vancouver in early December.
