DJ Khaled will perform at the 2024 Latin Grammys on Nov. 14, Rolling Stone can exclusively reveal.
Although it’s unclear what exactly Khaled will perform, he has several collaborations with major Latin stars including “Dientes” J Balvin and Usher last year, and Balvin on his song with Meek Mill, “You Stay,” which sampled salsa icon La India. Khaled also joined Sech for “Borracho” in 2021.
The news of Khaled’s participation is set to be shared with Latin Grammy fans this morning via its public WhatsApp channel, where the Latin Recording Academy unveiled Anitta as a performer last week.
Pitbull, Anitta, Becky G, Kali Uchis, Emilia, Grupo Frontera, Danny Ocean, Edgar Barrera, and Reik are among the performers announced last week. The Latin Recording Academy unveiled the awards show’s first cohort of performers earlier this month with David Bisbal, Alejandro Fernández, Luis Fonsi, Juan Luis Guerra, Carin León, Elena Rose, and Ela Taubert hitting the stage. Carlos Vives — this year’s Person of the Year — will also perform.
Edgar Barrera is up for a whopping nine awards, the most of anyone this year, including for Songwriter of the Year, Producer of the Year, and three nods as a co-writer for Song of the Year. Just behind Barrera in the list of nominations are Bad Bunny and Karol G, who clinched eight nods each for the albums they released last year. Bad Bunny saw several songs from Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana make it into major categories, including Record of the Year, while Karol G had work from Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season) recognized as well.
