Nicki Minaj’s College Era Is Coming


The Queens artist announced that she’s relaunching her #StudentOfTheGame charity

Nicki Minaj is headed to college. Last night, the Queens artist took to X to remind her fans that she will be pursuing a higher education.

“Barbz, as you may recall 2 days ago, I mentioned me getting a college degree & that I’d share more on the Major & other details at a later time,” she wrote. While Minaj didn’t delve into those details, she did divulge that “I plan on resuming my  #StudentOfTheGame Charity for Barbz who need help with College.“

Her Student of the Game charity started on a whim in 2017 when several fans reached out to her on X for help with college-related financial expenses. She helped out a slew of people, then announced a plan to launch a charity to aid students. The following year, she made the process a bit more formal, posting on X, “Ok just send one tweet w|hashtag #StudentOfTheGame saying how much $ you need & what it’s for,” adding, “All $ will b paid directly towards the tuition, books, etc. I’ll fave ur tweet & DM you if you’ve been chosen, for more info. Not every faved tweet will get a DM.”

Minaj studied singing and acting at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City, graduating in 2000.
