Aphex Twin Announces New Compilation ‘Music From the Merch Desk’

Out on Dec. 17, the new collection will feature the last seven years of the electronic producer’s unconventionally-issued releases

Legendary electronic producer Aphex Twin will release a new compilation titled Music From the Merch Desk (2016-2023) for streaming this Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Trending Stories

Aphex Twin’s new compilation will feature all the music he has released over a seven-year period of vinyl drops. For nearly a decade now, he has been mysteriously issuing random vinyl collections that were exclusively available at his merch table during live shows and DJ sets. This will be the first time many fans have heard the music he has released during this period.

Recently, to mark the 30th anniversary of his seminal album Selected Ambient Works II, Aphex Twin reissued the 1994 LP. The reissue was also an expanded version of the album, featuring bonus tracks as well as the track “#19” being available on streaming platforms for the first time. Back in October, Warp Records hosted a listening event at London’s Tate Modern to celebrate the reissue.
