GloRilla Is the 2025 NAACP Image Awards’ Most Nominated Musician

After a strong year including the release of her debut album Glorious, a song of the summer, and standout Video Music Awards performance, GloRilla is starting 2025 as the NAACP Image Awards’ most nominated musician. She’s earned six nods, including Outstanding Female Artist, Outstanding Album, and Outstanding Hip Hop/Rap Song.

Just behind Glo in music nominations are Kendrick Lamar, Doechii, and Usher with four nods each. Doechii joins GloRilla in the Outstanding Female Artist race, alongside Beyoncé, Coco Jones, and H.E.R. Kendrick Lamar is nominated for Entertainer of the Year (along with Cynthia Erivo, Keke Palmer, Kevin Hart, and Shannon Sharpe).

Beyond music, the NAACP Image Awards also cover TV, film, books, and podcasts. Ayo Edebiri and Keke Palmer also earned four nominations. Edebiri earned three for her role in The Bear and one for Saturday Night Live while Palmer’s nominations span her work hosting Password, voice-acting in The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy, and her podcast Baby, This is Keke Palmer. Netflix’s The Piano Lesson leads the motion picture categories with 14 nominations and Peacock’s Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist leads television with nine.

According to a press release from Paramount, the public can vote for the nominees via the NAACP Image Awards website until Feb. 7 at 12:00 midnight ET. Winners will be announced during the 56th NAACP Image Awards telecast on Feb. 22 airing live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium via BET and CBS.
