Bad Bunny Announces Coliseo Residency in Puerto Rico

Bad Bunny doesn’t want to leave Puerto Rico — he proclaimed as much on his LP Un Verano Sin Ti as well as on his latest album Debí Tirar Más Fotos. Now, the Latin star has announced a 21-show residency at the iconic “El Choli” Coliseo de Puerto Rico, which will kick off July 11.

Bad Bunny shared the news in an Instagram video. “I’m in Puerto Rico, I’m home, having fun and, to be honest, I don’t want to leave,” he said, as he walked through a hall filled with his past concert posters. Titled “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” (“I don’t want to leave here”), the residency is doubly historic; it marks Bad Bunny’s first residency and the first formal artist residency at the venue.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos saw Bad Bunny honor his homeland with Puerto Rican folk music and proudly Boricua lyrics. He’ll continue to put PR first, especially for his residency. Not only will it take place on the island, the first nine shows will be reserved exclusively for Puerto Rican residents with only in-person purchase options available at various local spots. Non-resident fans will be able to attend any show from August 9 to the final date on August 24. Fans can find more information on ticket registration at nomequieroirdeaqui.com.

Even though Benito is staying put, he also promised his fans all over the world that he will be touring there soon. “Thanks to music and the love you give me through my music, I’ve had the privilege of traveling and performing in different parts of the world,” the singer said. “There are place I carry in my heart and I will return to,” he continued, naming Mexico, Argentina, and Chile among others.

Bad Bunny also acknowledged the countries he has yet to perform in like Brazil and Japan, and some European countries he knows he needs to return to like Italy and Spain. “I promise before the year ends, I’ll tell you the date and time I will be visiting,” he added in the video. The star recently told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that he did not have plans to visit Spain or Europe in 2025.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Bad Bunny reflected on his career thus far, and explained the point of his success is “to show the world who I am and what my culture is, where I grew up.”
