Priscilla Presley Pays Tribute to Lisa Marie Two Years After Death

“I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed by all of us who carry you in our hearts”

Priscilla Presley remembered her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, two years after her death. Presley shared a touching post on Instagram in honor of Lisa Marie, who died at age 54 after suffering a cardiac arrest at her Calabasas home.

“I miss you more than words can say,” Presley wrote in the post, which she signed “Mom.” “I wish I could hold you, talk to you, see your smile just one more time. I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed by all of us who carry you in our hearts.”

Riley Keough, Lisa Marie’s daughter, also shared a tribute on her Instagram Stories. “Two years. I love you always,” she wrote in a series of posts. “I can’t believe it’s been two years, I miss you and love you so much mama.”

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan added his own remembrance. “Gone 2 years,” he wrote on an Instagram story. “Hard to believe. She’s very missed.”

Lisa Marie, a singer and the only child of Elvis, suffered cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas on Jan. 12, 2023. She died shortly after being hospitalized. “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Presley said in a statement. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

Last year, Keough helped to publish Lisa Marie’s posthumous memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown: A Memoir. “Few people had the opportunity to know who my mom really was, other than being Elvis’s daughter,” Keough said in a statement. “I was lucky to have had that opportunity and working on preparing her autobiography for publication has been a privilege, albeit a bittersweet one. I’m so excited to share my mom now, at her most vulnerable and most honest, and in doing so, I do hope that readers come to love my mom as much as I did.”
