Watch BTS’ J-Hope Perform Three Songs at Paris Charity Event

BTS member J-Hope performed at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes, a charity event in Paris held by France’s first lady Brigitte Macron. The singer showcased two solo tracks, “On the Street” and More,” as well as BTS’ “Mic Drop.”

The show took place at La Défense Arena in front of 35,000 fans. Other performers included Katy Perry, John Legend, Blackpink’s Rosé, J Balvin, and Burna Boy.

Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes is hosted by the Opération Pièces Jaunes foundation, which is led by Macron, who also serves as its chairperson. It aims to raise funds for hospitalized children and teenagers. The performances from the event will be broadcast on France’s national channel, France 2, on Jan. 28.

“It’s been such a long time since I performed in Europe, and I’m so happy to have been invited to such a meaningful event,” J-Hope said in a statement. “I’ve once again realized how incredible it is to bring hope and comfort to people through music and dance. I’m beyond grateful to ARMY for their unwavering support, and I’d love to return to perform again whenever I get the chance.”

Earlier this month, J-Hope announced he will embark on his first-ever solo tour, the Hope on the Stage tour. It will begin with a three-show at the KSPO Dome in Seoul beginning on Feb. 28. From there, J-Hope is scheduled to appear for double nights at arenas in Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, San Antonio, Oakland, Los Angeles, Manila, Saitama, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, Macau, and Taipei. The tour will conclude with shows in Osaka on May 31 and June 1.

The announcement of the tour comes less than three months after J-Hope was discharged from the South Korean military following the completion of his mandatory service. Prior to enlisting in April 2023, the musician began his solo career with the full-length LP, Jack in the Boxin July 2022. Shortly after the tour announcement, the singer shared another post teasing “new music on the way” in March 2025.
