New ‘1923’ Season 2 Pictures Might Reveal Key Plot Details


A batch of new photos from the set of 1923 finds Spencer and Alexandra still worlds apart and Jacob and Cara grieving.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth is hiding like her life depends on it, and Creighton Banner and Don Whitfield are plotting something that will no doubt get them killed. That’s the funny thing about this show — it’s a Yellowstone prequel, which means the Duttons will no doubt win the war for their land.

  • Season 2 of 1923 begins streaming on Paramount+ on Feb. 23.
  • This is the second prequel to Yellowstone, following 1883 with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
  • Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren lead the drama as Jacob and Cara Dutton.

There are no spoilers in this post, but a close examination of the pictures does share a few clues. For example, Alexandra looks to be a long way from Montana as late as Ep. 4. Does she ever get to Bozeman?

Several of these pictures are from Ep. 7, and in each one the cast looks to be troubled. Jacob and Cara appear to be grieving, Teonna Rainwater is panicked and Elizabeth is under her bed with a shotgun.

There are no pictures of Jack, which surely can’t be good news for the youngest Dutton.

It’s been a full two years since a new episode of 1923 aired, so if you’ve forgotten the names of these men and women, you can certainly be forgiven. This gallery is a bit of a refresher, with more to come as the Dutton Rules podcast team prepares for Season 2.
