A woman in Virginia wanted to make sure that her lottery ticket didn’t go missing, while also trying to give it a stroke of good luck, so she hid it in her Bible.
Jacqueline Mangus was at a deli in Virginia, getting some food when she decided to purchase a lottery ticket.
She bought a ticket for Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.
Doing what we all might do, she wanted to make sure the ticket didn’t get lost, so she put it somewhere safe and forgot about it.
Something magical happened while that paper ticket was stuck between those holy pages. But Mangus didn’t know that at the time the clock struck 12 and the calendar turned to 2025.
When she woke up and watched her local news the next day, she realized that the numbers that they were announcing for the winning lottery ticket seemed quite close to her numbers. Enough so for her to get up and go grab her ticket from her Bible.
When she did, she confirmed she had indeed won the $1 million jackpot. According to Upi.com, she told lottery officials that she “tickled to death” that she had won the grand prize.
Don’t go trying to get in touch with this sweet lady trying to borrow money or harass her for donations, as she says she has no clue what she wants to do with the money yet.

Cole Hauser doesn’t just play a rancher on Yellowstone, he’s lived that life off-screen, too. The actor’s 5-bedroom-6-bathroom, 5,402-square-foot rural home on a very private, double-gated three-acre parcel of land includes the lavish 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom main residence, as well as a guest house and a separate studio apartment. The main house runs completely on solar power and comes with a 3-car garage, with easy transitions between indoor and outdoor living spaces, and the exterior of the property includes a pool area and a hot tub, as well as fenced-in horse corrals.
