Portugal. The Man, Taj Mahal, Julien Baker Lead 2025 Pickathon Festival

Portugal. The Man, Taj Mahal, Julien Baker and Torres, and Haley Heynderickx are among the headliners for the 2025 Pickathon festival, which returns to Happy Valley, Oregon, outside of Portland to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year.

The unique, immersive fest at Pendarvis Farm from July 31 to August 3 features an eclectic lineup that also includes Fruit Bats, Reyna Tropical, Ocie Elliott, Surprise Chef, Dummy, Blu & Exile, Rosali, Michael Hurley, Hannah Cohen, and dozens more.

As per tradition, while the lineup showcases artists from all genres, Pickathon leans heavily on up-and-coming indie-rock groups on the verge of bigger success; in recent years, artists like Wednesday, Courtney Barnett, MJ Lenderman, and Geese have all played Pickathon’s woodsy stages and barn shows before breaking out.

“For 25 years, Pickathon has been a platform for discovery,” Pickathon founder Zale Schoenborn said in a statement. “We’ve showcased artists who have gone on to headline major festivals and stadiums, and this year’s lineup is no exception. But Pickathon is about more than just the music. It’s about building a community, fostering creativity, and creating extraordinary experiences that inspire and transform.”

Other acts this year include Wild Pink, Rose City Band, Cactus Blossoms, Jenny Don’t and the Spurs, the Rumble, Thee Marloes, and more.

Tickets for this year’s Pickathon are available now at the festival’s website.

Recently, to ensure the future of the festival, organizers launched the non-profit Creative Neighborhoods “to create transformative experiences through collaborative design. Their mission is to empower future workforces, strengthen communities, and inspire the world through extraordinary events.”
