Kevin Kaarl Announces ‘Ultra Sodade’ Tour: See the Dates

Kevin Kaarl is ready for his biggest tour yet. On Tuesday, the Mexican indie-folk star announced that he’ll bring his newest album Ultra Sodade on a world tour later this year.

“Truly the whole experience will be different because they won’t just listen to my music, but feel it,” Kaarl tells Rolling Stone. “We’re creating a visual and musical show that’ll allow you to submerge yourself in Utra Sodade. It will be a lot more than me on guitar.”

Kaarl will kick off his run of shows on April 22 in Atlanta before heading to cities such as Seattle, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Antonio. In between U.S. dates, Kaarl will visit several cities in Mexico, before shows across Europe. He’ll conclude the run of shows in Mexico with stops in Mexico City and Mérida in December. For the shows in Mexico, Kaarl will be joined by Macario Martínez, the folk singer who went viral last month after posting music while his job as a street cleaner in Mexico City.

“Happy to be able to accompany @kevinkaarl on his tour in Mexico, thanks for the invitation. See you very soon in all these cities,” Martinez said on Instagram.

Kaarl is excited to bring his newest LP on the road, and especially looking forward to playing “No Me Equivoco,” which he says he wrote with a live performance in mind.

“I feel so alleviated now that the album is out. I left a part of me in that album and after so long, it’s out for everyone,” Kaarl says. “There are songs I thought would be left behind in the process, but I can see that those same songs are being loved by so many. It feels great for people to connect with my album and it fills me.”

He adds: “You feel a sense of nostalgia and a beautiful sadness and you’ll be able to dance.”
