“Cardi is my sister. I love Cardi,” Ozuna said of hitting the studio with his past collaborator
A new Cardi B–Ozuna banger is officially in the works. On Thursday, Cardi B shared clips of herself in the studio with Ozuna, and the Puerto Rican star confirmed that the two of them were “recording a new song” together.
“Last night, I went to the studio with Cardi for the new project. Cardi is my sister. I love Cardi,” Ozuna told Billboard. “In 2025, I’m recording a new song with [her] for the album. I love Cardi. 2025 is coming strong.”
On Thursday, Cardi shared a muted video of herself dancing in the studio with the caption, “A movie ALWAYS @ozuna.” In another clip, she added, “Un vibe durisimo.” (“A sick vibe.”)
Cardi B and Ozuna’s musical partnership dates back to 2017, when they collaborated on “La Modelo” from Ozuna’s second album Aura. (Rolling Stone ranked the song as the Number 100 Reggaeton Song of All Time.) The later linked up on “Taki Taki” with DJ Snake and Selena Gomez in 2018. “That’s a global song,” Ozuna told Billboard.
It’s unclear if the song is for Ozuna’s upcoming project or for the New York rap star’s highly-anticipated sophomore album, her follow-up to 2018’s Invasion of Privacy. Cardi recently joined Pardison Fontaine on “Toot It Up” and was featured on Peso Pluma’s “Put Em in the Fridge” last year.
For his part, Ozuna is expected to release an album in the next few months. The project will be his first full-length record since 2023’s Cosmo and Afro. Over the last months, he’s teamed up with Natti Natasha, Bad Gyal, and Kapo for several releases.
