Rapper’s team released the single “5 Nights” on Friday
A YoungBoy Never Broke Again album will be out in the world just before he’s set to be released from prison. On Thursday, the rapper’s team announced that they’ll drop More Leaks on March 7, as they dropped the project’s first single, “5 Night.”
The announcement from the rapper’s label shows a vault opening and releasing multiple cassette trips, spliced with a clip in which he declares, “You leaked my shit man.” The company captioned the post: “Last project before TOP is back.”
The label also released a video for the song, which had leaked online months prior. On social media, fans commented that they had already “been listening to this for the last couple months.” The video sees YoungBoy dancing next to a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon at a gas station and showing up with stacks of cash.
“Fuck a punchline n—a, that’s a hollow/Fuck where you been n—a ’cause I ain’t follow,” he raps on the London on da Track-produced song. “Come to my house, at this bitch like I’m Pablo.”
The rapper — born Kentrell Gaulden — is expected to be released in July 2025. The new date, which appears on a federal inmate search website, is much sooner than the 23 months in prison and five months of probation he was sentenced to in December, according to Billboard. The rapper’s early release may be due to time served for his time in jail.
In December, the musician’s team reached a global settlement of his charges after he also faced charges related to allegedly orchestrating a fraudulent prescription drug operation in Utah. He was arrested for allegedly arranging a fraudulent prescription drug ring while he was on house arrest in Huntsville, Utah, for federal weapon charges in April.
