New single follows Nigo’s “Dope Boy” with Young Thug
Peso Pluma is linking up with Duki once again thanks to Nigo. Over the weekend, the Bape founder released the video for his single “Alley Oop,” which hears the Mexican corridos star and Argentine rapper collaborating once again after joining Santa Fe Klan on “No Son Klle.”
The AWGE-directed music video jumps between clips of Peso Pluma and Duki driving around in lowriders and the pair of artists rapping the track’s lyrics from a garage. “Bluetooth flow connection, from Argentina to Hollywood/White Lebron, alley-oop, smoke with Tyson, peek-a-boo,” Peso and Duki take turns rapping in the chorus. “Another show, déjà vu, how many Lambos? Give me two.”
The artsy video cleverly shows off Duki in an Argentina flag-esque composition — with a woman swimming underwater representing the sky-blue parts of the flag, and the rapper in the white middle part. For Peso Pluma, the corridos musician sings from the green portion of the flag while a folklórico dancer takes over the red portion.
Although he has yet to announce a new record, Nigo’s “Alley Oop” seems to be part of an upcoming album. He last released “Dope Boy” featuring Young Thug back in September, using a similar single artwork of an astronaut sitting on a planet in outer space. His last album I Know Nigo! arrived in 2022, which featured Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and A$AP Rocky.
Peso Pluma last collaborated with Luis R Conriquez’s “Bandida” in January, while Duki released his album Ameri in October, featuring Arcángel, Wiz Khalifa, and Myke Towers. Duki ended 2024 by linking with Nicki Nicole on “Mascara.”
