From retail to restaurants, 2025 hasn’t exactly been kind to several notable chains spread throughout the U.S. .

Other chains have closed down for good. Party City went away in February. Arts and crafts store Joann followed shortly after. Mall clothing retailer Forever 21 is winding down operations in all of its U.S. stores.
