Oscar Maydon Announces First U.S. Tour: See the Dates

Oscar Maydon is bringing his corridos bélicos to the United States. On Thursday, the Mexican star revealed the tour dates for his upcoming summer Rico o Muerto Tour exclusively with Rolling Stone.

The 13-stop trek will commence in Salt Lake City on July 25 before stops in Denver, Phoenix, Charlotte, Atlanta, and New York through August. He’ll then close the tour with a trio of California dates in October, including a closing stop at Los Angeles’ YouTube Theater.

“The journey from Mexicali to the stages of the United States has been a dream since I was young,” he tells Rolling Stone. “Now is the time to share the music with all of you, my fans, who have supported me from day one, listening to my songs from all corners of the United States.”

Tickets for the concerts, produced by Live Nation, are set to go on sale on Monday, March 31 at 10 a.m. local time. “Music has no borders, and I can’t wait to sing with every soul who feels my music,” Maydon adds. “Let’s make history.”

Maydon has had a rapid rise thanks to tracks such as “Tu Boda” featuring Fuerza Régida and “Madonna” with Natanael Cano. (Rolling Stone named “Tu Boda” one of the best Spanish-language songs of 2024.) His second album, Distorsión, dropped in 2023.
