The collaboration with the R&B superstar is set to be featured on Ferxxo’s upcoming LP
Ty Dolla $ign and Feid are reminiscing about their past on “Dallax.” On Thursday night, the Colombian star released his R&B-tinged reggaeton collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, who shines singing Spanish on the track.
The video, directed by Sebas Sanchez, starts with Feid rapping the slow track’s loving lyrics before flashing to a young woman answering a call from inside her bedroom. “You were my baby and I was your cancer/No one has come along who knows how to screw you like I do,” sings Feid in Spanish before the chorus as retro clips play onscreen.
Ty Dolla $ign’s raspy vocals then come in as clips play of the pair of artists enjoy chicken and waffles before singing en español: “I thought of you and decided to call you./My bad, I don’t know if you’re with someone.”
The video ends with a seeming teaser for the music to come for Feid: a model sits at a desk as a reggaetón beat plays from an old-school computer woth an alien on screen.
The new single “Dallax” follows last month’s “Nos Desconoximos,” which is also set to be featured on Feid’s upcoming album. “What can I tell you, love? We are so happy because the first song of the new project dropped,” Feid said on his Instagram Stories at the time. “Ferxxo is coming with a new album… It’s a special project because after 10 years, it’ll be dropping.” He also teased the record with an old-school web browser game called “Green Chrome.”
As for Ty, the song follows a pair of collaborative Vulture albums with Kanye West and “Wheels Fall Off” with West. He also joined Cordae on “Pray” last year. His last solo album came in 2020 with Featuring Ty Dolla $ign.
