Anitta, Grupo Firme, Netón Vega

Is this the Latino Lollapalooza? On Tuesday, Michelada Fest announced the lineup for this year’s edition, set for July 19 and 20 at Oakwood Beach in Chicago, featuring acts such as Danny Ocean, Anitta, Grupo Firme, and Netón Vega.

Saturday’s edition, headlined by Ocean and Anitta, will feature a reggaeton-leaning crew of performers including dembow queen Tokischa, “Gata Only” reggaetonero FloyyMenor, Bay Area rapper Snow the Product, group Calle 24, and Lomiiel. Major Lazer Soundsystem will bring electronic music to the fest, while Estevie will rep música mexicana on Day One.

Sunday’s edition will feature Grupo Firme as headliners, with Luis R. Conirquez and Codiciadio leading up to their set. Los Alegres del Barranco, Edgardo Nuñez, Clave Especia, El Malo, and J Santos will also perform. Netón Vega is set for a “special Sunday performance” at the festival as well.

Latino TikTok star Leo González and B96 radio personality Karla Hernandez will serve as hosts for the weekend.

“Since day one, Michelada Fest has been about more than music; it’s about our community, culture, and showcasing the best of Chicago’s South Side,” co-owners Fernando Nieto and Miguel Torres said in a statement. “We’re proud that Michelada Fest is homegrown, and each year, we strive to improve the festival, creating a space that authentically represents Chicago’s diverse communities through music, food, art, and, of course, micheladas, which we see as a proud symbol of our Mexican culture”

Michelada Fest will offer tiered pricing for general admission tickets. The first tier will cost $199, before going up to $239, and $279. VIP starts at $399.

Last year, Kali Uchis and Junior H headlined the festival, which also saw performances from Los Angeles Azules, Jasiel Nuñez, Ryan Castro, and Santa Fe Klan.
