Lauren Alaina Admits to ‘Feeling Left Out’ After ACM Awards

Lauren Alaina wishes she had the chance to attend the 2025 ACM Awards. On Thursday night, the country singer shared a vulnerable Instagram Reel following the awards show, saying she felt “left out” and “left behind” after having to watch the show from home.

“I get so excited for everyone because I have the same dream, and I wanna be there and I wanna be getting these awards and having these performances and presenting the awards,” Alaina said, congratulating the winners of the show. “But I’m home, 37 weeks pregnant. I’m home this year, and I just wanna be honest about something: I’m feeling left out. I’m feeling sad.”

“I’m feeling so many feelings because I have this little girl in here, and I want her to dream big, and I want her to believe in herself and go for whatever she wants to do,” she added.

Alaina explained that these last few years have been a period of “transition” for her music, and she feels “kind of left behind” with it. The country singer added that she might “regret” posting the video, but she ultimately wanted to be honest with her fans.

“I’ve gotta create all this content and try to do all these things to try and have all these moments online. And it’s not just about writing music and putting songs out anymore; you have to do all these other things,” Alaina said, hoping that she could be an example for people who might also feel behind in their dreams.

“I felt this way last year,” she added. “I didn’t go to the ACMs last year either, and I just desperately want to be there. I want to be up for these awards and be able to even present the awards and walk the carpet and be with my friends.”

In the comments of her post, numerous country stars shared supportive messages for the singer.
