Emotional Oranges are stepping things up with their new tour. On Monday, the R&B duo announced the 20 North America dates for their Worldwide Oranges run in support of their newly released LP, Orenjii.
“Our first time touring with a live band, what a moment,” said member Azad in a press statement. “This was always the intention when I first was developing the idea of Emotional Oranges, and to finally be able to afford to execute that vision the way I imagined over 6 years ago is an incredible feeling.”
The duo — comprising Azad and Vali — will kick off their U.S. tour on Sept. 10 in Dallas, before stopping in cities such as Austin, Atlanta, New York City, Portland, Seattle, and Phoenix, before closing their tour in Los Angeles at Hollywood Palladium. Tickets for the concerts go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time. N3WYRKLA and Evan Fong will be special guests on the trek.
“This is our 3rd and 4th time in some of these cities, so just want to give a big shout out to all the fans that have been supporting us from the first 250-cap shows we did back in 2019,” Azad added.
The tour will celebrate Emotional Oranges’ new album, Orenjii, which features NCT’s Jaehyun on “Call It Off,” Jessie Reyez and Becky G on “Candy Gum,” and Isaiah Falls on “Talk About Us.”
“It’s one of those deserted island albums (prepare for a juicy cliche!) that if you found 50 years in the future, it’d paint an accurate picture of what growing up in the 2000s would sound like,” Azad told Rolling Stone. “And you’re getting it from 2 different perspectives from opposite coasts. Buckle up, buddy!”
