Between cringe-inducing laugh tracks and outdated jokes, not all comedy TV series are created the same… or get the same amount of laughs.
There are plenty of universally loved, popular and critically acclaimed TV comedies currently airing or in syndication, from Friends to The Office to How I Met Your Mother, as well as live sketch comedy shows such as the iconic, decades-spanning Saturday Night Live.
While many would likely agree that these comedy shows are funny, or at least have very funny moments, not every viewer feels the same. In fact, some viewers find some of the most widely enjoyed TV comedy shows completely unfunny, if you can believe it!

According to a Ranker poll voted on over 3,000 times, and based on comments pulled from opinionated Facebook users, some of the biggest TV comedies of all time aren’t remotely funny to some viewers.
Fan-favorite series such as ’90s sitcoms Friends and Seinfeld rank high on the list of TV comedies some viewers find cringe-inducing instead of comedic, while many others can’t stand the weekly gags of longtime live comedy show Saturday Night Live, which first began airing in 1975.
