Benson Boone shared a music video for his single, “Mr. Electric Blue.” The clip, directed by Matt Eastin, arrives alongside his second studio album, American Heart, out now via Night Street Records/Warner Records.
In the video, Boone is in debt $10 million to his record label and has to raise enough cash to pay them back doing odd jobs. He walks dogs, mans an ice cream truck, sells used jumpsuits, and washes cars (topless).
American Heart is Boone’s sophomore LP, following his 2024 LP Fireworks & Rollerblades. It features singles “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else” and “Momma Song,” which he recently performed on The Tonight Show.
The musician will embark on a 30-date tour in support of the album, kicking off the American Heart tour on Aug. 22 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Boone will also make stops at arenas across North America, including Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Nashville, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, Houston, Las Vegas, San Diego, Vancouver, Seattle, and more. He is slated to headline New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sept. 5 and Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sept. 30.
Ahead of the tour, Boone will perform at several international festivals, including Summerfest, Mad Cool Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, and Lollapalooza Paris. When speaking to Rolling Stone for its March cover story, Boone said, “I’m ready for this year,” adding: “I’m so rested, and my mind is so clear. It’s unbelievable.”
