Karol G, Feid Share ‘Verano Rosa’ Collaboration on ‘Tropicoqueta’

The long-awaited track is featured on Karol’s new album Tropicoqueta

Karol G and Feid have finally released their long-awaited collaboration “Verano Rosa.” The track is officially listed as “Canción 13” on Karol’s new album Tropicoqueta, but one listen shows it’s the infamous song. “Que fuimos un verano rosa, un verano pa no olvidar,” (“We were a pink summer, a summer not to be forgotten”) Karol sings over a sunny reggaeton beat, before Feid delivers his signature smooth vocals. Earlier this week, the singer revealed the Tropicoqueta tracklist and notably left out the title for the album’s 13th track. Now we know why.

“Verano Rosa” has been years in the making. Back in 2023, Karol revealed its existence in her Rolling Stone cover story. “It’s a song about heartbreak, which is the best part of it all,” she said. At the time of that interview, the song was yet to be finished because Karol couldn’t find the right collaborator. The singer recalled the situation: “[Feid] says, ‘I know you’ve thought of thousands of people and no one fits but … are you gonna let me get on that song?’” she said.

From there, fans were excited about the existence of an unreleased song between the two Colombian stars, who confirmed their romantic relationship in 2023. Of course, the pair have collaborated before. Back in 2021, Karol G hopped on Feid’s song “Friki” after she had invited him to open for her Bichota tour that fall. But “Verano Rosa” marks the pair’s first collaboration as an official couple.

In her documentary Tomorrow Was Beautiful, released earlier this year, Karol revealed how she bonded with Feid on the Bichota tour. Karol remembered one night, in particular, when the two were playing video games and flirting, and he kissed her goodnight. She gushed over their profound connection and shared values: “I have such a beautiful relationship with him… It’s everything.”
