FKA Twigs Does It ‘Perfectly’ in Dynamic New Video

The single marks the musician’s first new music since her album Eusexua arrived in January

FKA Twigs has shared a new single, “Perfectly,” alongside a music video for the hopeful track. The dynamic clip was directed by Jordan Hemingway and sees Twigs finding the groove alongside a group of fellow dancers.

“A sky of blue, a sea of green/ A messy room, fits perfectly,” the singer croons over the propulsive beat. “Inside my head I have thе best time/ Yes, in my head, I have the best time.”

“Perfectly” follows Twigs’ unpredictable new album, Eusexua, which dropped in January. She launched the Eusexua era with a teaser earlier last fall, explaining the significance of the term in a short video. The teaser included model-like figures exploring their own definition of the Twigs term. “Eusexua takes over who you are,” someone adds, while another likens the feeling to “shimmering rose petals on my skin.” A press release notes that “Perfectly” celebrates the community built around Eusexua and “the album’s core themes of physicality, vulnerability, and freedom.”

“this one’s for the times u were messy boots down, chaos with a heart, hard metal silver stiletto decking it on the concrete, bloody nose and all but u know what you did it PERFECTLY you absolute icon,” Twigs shared on Instagram about the new single. “ps. a huge thank you to everyone who gave a piece of their magic on that white background, my community i love you so much and i am forever yours.”

Eusexua marked Twigs first full-length release since 2019’s Magdalene. She also dropped mixtape Caprisongs in 2022. Her musical return came after she scrapped dozens of songs that were leaked in 2023. “I got hacked, somebody leaked 85 of my demos,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “Well done, no new music for a while now.”
