Fans have also been anticipating a collaborative project between Metro and JID.

“When the work is there, you’re gonna know exactly what it is,” he said. “I promise, when it’s presented, you’re gonna know exactly what it is. There’s not gonna be so much of a mystery around it.”
A joint album with Metro Boomin has been on the cards since 2023 when the producer posted a picture of the two of them at work in a recording studio.
Metro captioned the photo: “Got a lot of new music coming but when me and @JIDsv drop [fire emoji] [spiral eye emoji].”
“I love working with u brudda, it’s an honor,” JID replied to Metro’s tweet, to which he responded: “Honor is mine family [handshake emoji].”
