Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have added a surprise duet to their long list of musical collaborations — and this one might be their most unexpected yet.
The country power couple appears on the official soundtrack for Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, the sequel to the iconic 1984 rock mockumentary, This Is Spinal Tap.
Their track? A reworked version of the band’s hilariously over-the-top anthem, “Big Bottom.”
Yes, that “Big Bottom.”

Country Royalty Meets Mock Rock Legends
The new soundtrack arrives Sept. 12, the same day Spinal Tap II hits theaters.
It features nine brand-new songs and four reimagined “classics,” with Brooks and Yearwood lending their unmistakable harmonies to track No. 9.
They’re not the only A-listers on board — the album also boasts appearances by Paul McCartney and Elton John, making this one of the most star-studded parody albums ever released.
What Is ‘Spinal Tap II’ About?
The film picks up more than 40 years after the original, as the fictional British rock band is forced to reunite for one final concert.
Rob Reiner returns as director and also reprises his role as the ever-dry documentarian Marty DiBergi.

No word yet on whether Brooks or Yearwood, who married in 2005, make an on-screen appearance — but honestly, them turning up as closeted metalheads wouldn’t even crack the Top 10 wildest things to happen in 2025.
The Garth Brooks Movie Connection You May Have Forgotten
This isn’t Brooks’ first brush with movie inspiration. His signature hit “The Dance” was directly inspired by a film: 1986’s Peggy Sue Got Married.
Songwriter Tony Arata has said the movie’s time-travel twist — and its deeper message about embracing your past — helped him find the song’s emotional center.
“You don’t get to pick and choose your memories in life,” Arata shared in a 2013 interview. “You have to go with things as they play out.”

Released in 1990, “The Dance” topped the Billboard Hot Country chart and won multiple ACM and CMA Awards. Brooks has long called it his most important song.
Now, more than three decades later, he’s bringing that same emotional gravity — and a whole lot of bass — to an entirely new genre.
