Luke Bryan doesn’t work on Friday nights.
Bryan was a guest on Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton where he pulled the curtain back a bit to talk about his home life — particularly his two sons, Bo, 17, and Tate, 14, and their extracurricular hobbies.
“Bo is playing high school football. I try to take every Friday off so I can see him play,” Bryan shares.
The fact that he won’t play a show on a Friday night while his son is playing football says a lot.
He is missing out on quite a bit of money, but it’s worth it to the “Strip It Down” singer to get the family time in, which is proving to be harder and harder nowadays. Bryan says that, “Bo has been driving, so we don’t see him as much anymore.”
Being such a close family, there’s no doubt Bryan and his wife, Caroline, are going to have some trouble sending Bo off to college next year.
“I don’t know what we’re going to do when he goes off to college,” the singer says.
Bo isn’t the only one playing sports. Bryan shares that, “Tate is playing golf too.”
Imagine how cool that must be for Tate to whip around a golf course with his famous dad driving, cigar in mouth and a smile on his face.
