Hulk died from an acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack.

According to medical records, the former pro wrestler had a history of leukemia and atrial fibrillation, a condition that causes irregular heartbeats.

A Shared History and Heartfelt Farewell

Linda and Hulk were married in 1983 and shared two adult children: Brooke, 37, and Nick, 35.

Despite their fractured relationship, Linda expressed her sadness over Hulk’s passing in an emotional Instagram post on July 28.

“I had no idea he would pass away this soon,” she wrote. “We all really thought he would make a comeback! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It’s hitting me so hard.”

Reflections on Love and Loss

Speaking candidly, Linda reflected on the pain of their past and her enduring feelings.

“I loved Hulkster more than he loved me,” she admitted. “It hurt when he cheated. But he was sooo famous. I sort of [understood] but it was crushing. It hurt. I never got over him or started a real relationship with anyone… I missed HIM! I’ve been weeping all day. The finality. It’s just shocking.”

Linda added, “It’s so hard to know he’s just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick … but I’m melting down now. It’s very sad. I love you, Hulkster.”
